Free Self Defense Class: Mr. Murray serves the community by offering a free self defense class. This free class showed a variety of escapes and defenses while promoting awareness and prevention. There was a huge turn out. All had a great time.

Recent Black Belt Promotion: Amber Nelson most recently promoted in Taekwondo to first Poom Black Belt. Congratulations Amber! Jamie Demeter and Sarah Bocchi were both also awarded their Brown belts in Taekwondo.

Sparring Clinic: A big "Thanks" to Red Hook Martial Arts and the Jimenez Family for spending the day @ Murray's Family Martial Arts Center sharing many sparring drills and techniques. Over 25 students turned out and everyone had a great time.
National Training Seminar: GM Murray and Shane both recenty attended a National training conference in Chicago. Many Combat Hapkido schools from accross the nation turned out to practice techniques and learn new material. GM pellegrini, Master Moore, Master Gridley, & Master Rivas all taught seminars on pressure points, ground survival, dan bong, and Combate Hapkido.

Kicks for Kindness 2010: Fundraiser raises over $8000 for individual in the community. Hapkido & Taekwondo students come together to demonstrate skills and break boards as a means to raise money. Thank you to all participants and volunteers.

MFMAC @ Fishkill Seminar for Training
Combat Hapkido Training : Several of Murray's Family Martial Art's hapkido students recently attending a training seminar with GM Pellegrini in Fishkill, NY. MFMAC will be hosting their own seminar in September 2011. See you all there.
Bo staff Clinic: Murray's hosted a bo staff (korean bong) clinic. There was a great turnout. Many students had the opportunity to twirl & swing wooden staffs with fellow students, friends, and family members. Thank you for making it a success. Watch for the next for a little refresher.

A scary bunch!
Kicks for Kindness 2009: The first annual Kicks for Kindness was a success! Murray's students raised over $9000 for the Desma Degraw. Desma is a former student and Black Belt of Mr. Murray who has been battling cancer. Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, & Cardio Kickboxing students went out and raised money and broke boards to help cover her medical expenses. There were Tae Kwon Do & Hap Ki Do demonstrations, raffles, baked goods, hot dogs, popcorn, & live auctions. Thank you to all for participating. A special "Thanks" to all individuals and businesses that contributed to this great young lady.

Washington County Fair: Murray's Family Martial Arts put on 2 shows at the Washington County Fair in Greenwich this past August. There were both Taekwondo and Combat Hapkido demonstations. Many students turned out to make the event a huge success. We'll see you next year at the fair.
