I wanted to thank you again for the opportunity to attend the self defense class- it was great!
I gained self defense knowledge and important safety tips. The presentation was professional, friendly and comfortable (even the most meek participant volunteered). The learning atmosphere was enhanced by well trained and enthusiastic male and female Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido staff with a staff to student ratio of almost one to one. Techniques were well demonstrated, basic moves that were repeated and applicable to varied attacks. These techniques were taught to be easy to remember, especially in times of fear and stress such as an attack. There was an ideal class size of a dozen participants. The class could have been even a little better with another half hour!
Of course I have a slightly biased opinion, as I have seen how wonderful you are with children! Sarah, Brittany and Jamie enjoy the classes, and look forward to the next class!
I would be willing to help you in any way I can with future classes.
Thank you again!
Dawn Kenny
I take cardio kickboxing and love it! Everyone is so friendly and make you feel like family. Sam is an awesone instructor and allows you to work at your own pace. She is always there to help you out and keeps the atmosphere positve and fun. If you are looking for a great way to "kick" away 2009 and make a new you for 2010 I highly recommend Murray's! Thank you all,
Mr. Murray and several of his friends came in for two days to do a self defense program. He spoke with grades K-7 about different threatening experiences and what to do if approached by strangers or even bullies. He demonstrated different self defense techniques that were meant to get away, run away, right away! I believe many of these simple techniques will help the students greatly in the future. The students in grades K-7 did a great job participating in the self defense grabs. We also had some student volunteers that learned how to get out of a backpack grab or even a jacket grab. The students had many interesting questions for Mr. Murray and were able to act out situations where they had felt threatened. I believe that providing this program for the students gave them the oppurtunity to be prepared. They learned what to do if put in any type of dangerous situation, to say no to strangers and most importantly get away, run away, right away.
Mr. Murray did a great job with the students and I know the students will remember this experience for a long time to come.
Thank you

Bob,
Everyone said they felt that what was taught in your class was very useful, all so simple enough to remember in case the situation was ever to arise that we may need to protect our selves.
The other instructors that worked with you that day were very helpful and patience when we had the opportunity to try the different moves on them.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of them may at some point want to take another class or join.
Hope this helps!

Hi Mr. Murray,
I just wanted to again thank you so much for the self defense class last Saturday for some of us Post-Star ladies.
I am amazed at how much I learned in that short time, and I have told everyone I know about you and the wonderful group that was there that day. I do intend to buy the video when it is available.
Thank you for your help,

Mr. Murray,
I just wanted to thank you for all of the extra time you have been putting in to help the girls and I get ready for the tournament. Isabelle and Hannah are really enjoying themselves and are very excited. You always go above and beyond for us. I want you to know that we really appreciate it and how thankful we are to have you as our teacher.
Thanks, Jared Murphy South Glens Falls, NY
The physics of self-defense can be cogently stated: "Something comes at you out of nowhere, it's probably not attraction. Probably it's more a question of propulsion."
The human body, from a self-defense standpoint, consists of weapons and targets.
Combat Hapkido is one of the most effective martial arts that teaches students who are serious about learning this practical art how to understand and use both to their tactical advantage.
In the Saratoga, Washington and Warren county areas, we are most fortunate to have Mister Shane Murray, who is an accomplished martial artist whose credentials include his being a 5th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 2nd Dan ICHF, Combat Hapkido. Mr. Shane Murray teaches both Combat Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do with his father, Master Robert Murray at Murrays Family Martial Arts in Hudson Falls.
I am serious about my desire and dedication to learning Combat Hapkido and consider myself extremely fortunate to be a student of Mr. Shane Murray
